Poverty and welfare reform: exploring the impact on homelessness and housing-related support

Our next conference focuses on something that threads through the work of all of Wales' housing-related support services: poverty.

This is a chance for directors, managers and support staff to share understanding of the effects of poverty, and how changes to the benefit system by the Department for Work and Pensions are affecting services and vulnerable people who receive support.

Delegates will hear from senior decision makers and thinkers from government agencies, third sector organisations about where we are at in the journey to address poverty here.

Plenaries and workshops will look at detailed issues 'on the ground': how poverty affects specific areas that impact on housing-related support. We will look at how the broader issues of poverty can influence the way we work.

This is an all-day event, with lunch and refreshments provided and lots of chances to have your say and to connect with other people working in the sector. Early booking is advised.
