Hafan Cymru sponsor the Promoting Independence Awards 2018

Hafan Cymru are sponsoring the Learning and Work category at the 2018 Promoting Independence Awards. They write about their important work. The ceremony takes place on Friday 30 November.

Hafan Cymru are a housing association and support provider that believes in building opportunities for people to live well. We are delighted to be sponsoring the Learning and Work award as we know how important developing learning and work skills can be to independence. We help our clients achieve their goals through a number of educational, training and employment projects.

Our Spectrum Project provides school based educational sessions on healthy relationships and domestic abuse issues to pupils and staff across Wales. Hafan Cymru's Training Services deliver accredited and bespoke training to the private, public and third sector, as well as employability services through the Department of Work and Pension. Additionally, our Moving On programme offers accredited learning through Agored Cymru and OCR and provides opportunities for individuals to gain personal development, employability and Essential Skills Wales qualifications.

Many of our own clients have been the recipients of the awards in the past, so we understand the real power of recognising these achievements – we are able to reflect on the enormity and significance of the barriers that our clients overcome every day, and promote a sense of pride in our client's achievements.

Hafan Cymru wishes the best of luck to all the nominees in this year's Promoting Independence Awards.
