- Life Begins @ Home - Service users / policy-makers’ tea parties
As part of our Life Begins @ Home campaign, Cymorth Cymru held five regional tea parties across Wales throughout March and April (2010), offering people using housing-related support, homelessness and supported living services the opportunity to meet elected representatives and talk about what is important to them.
The tea parties were very successful, we had 18 elected representatives in attendance across the five tea parties, as well as members of the team carrying out the review into housing-related support. People had the chance to talk about why the services they receive are important to them, as well as talking about problems they might face which the elected representatives could help them to overcome.
We would like to extend a huge thanks to all of the organisations who were able to put time aside to come along, all of you who helped out on each of the days, and most importantly the people using services for making the events so successful!
Cymorth will also be compiling a report of the comments made at each event by tea party attendees which will be sent to the review team. If you attended any of the tea parties and would like to add any additional comments or you would like to submit some feedback about the event, please email Mike or call Cymorth Cymru on the number be-low.
