Joining up to Improve Access
12 June 2008 – All Nations Centre, Cardiff
Aim of the Day
The event will focus on improving understanding across the homelessness and mental health sectors, encouraging dialogue between individual professionals, and promoting more effective joint-working between homelessness and mental health services.
Whilst acknowledging that a number of difficulties currently exist in many parts of the country, the event will be positive, solution-based and mutually beneficial to all delegates.

- Aberystwyth University, Aberystwyth on 19 November 2008

Nuts & Bolts Seminar - Thursday 18th October 2007
The Media Resource Centre, Llandrindod Wells
A One Day Event for front line staff and operational managers aimed at sharing good practice and ideas.
What is the day about?
- This event offers delegates the chance to find out about and discuss some key service delivery issues and innovative ideas with colleagues from the housing related support world.
- The unique Project Profile Networking offers attendees a cost free opportunity to publicise initiatives and projects they are involved in.
- The panel discussion provides attendees with the chance to hear from and question key figures from the policy community in Wales
Who should attend?
The event will prove valuable to anyone interested in improving the services they offer – particularly those working in operational management positions or front line service delivery – whatever the client group.

Cymorth Cymru Conference 2008 — Raising The Bar
The Cymorth Cymru annual conference is always a well received
event and this year proved no exception! The conference theme
was centred entirely around ‘excellence’ - *what is it *how to
you achieve it *how do you measure it *how do you fund it?
- Plenary debates, focus groups, workshops, receptions and much more
- A chance to network with other organisations working across Wales and to publicise your initiatives and projects
- An exhibition comprising of private companies and voluntary organisations
There was a wide range of conference speakers from Private

The Welsh National Homelessness Awards 2007 was held at the Hilton Hotel, Cardiff on the 6th December and the evening went down a storm!

Youth Homelessness Event - 8th November 2007

A one day event in response to the recommendations given in the WAG youth Homelessness Report.

Specific Interest Groups
The Media Resource Centre, Llandrindod Wells
Four Specific Interest Groups were established last year in response to requests from members to provide organisations with an opportunity to discuss issues they face and feed into Cymorth’s work. The groups currently meeting are:
• Older Person’s housing and support needs
• Women and Children in supported housing
• Human Resources in supported housing
• Supported Housing Finance
The groups are only open to any person working for a Cymorth member organisation and there is no charge for attending. We hope these groups will be the first four of many. For more information or to book your place, contact Karen – karendronfield@cymorthcymru.org.uk
