Cymorth's strategic business plan confirms the vision, mission, core values and aims of the organisation:
Vision
That all supported housing providers in Wales are able to maximise their potential to provide high quality services to their client groups and through this, service users lead as full and independent lives as possible.
Mission
To have a central role in enabling supported housing providers to maximise their contribution to improving both the lives of the client groups they work with and the health, wealth and wellbeing of Wales.
Core Values
That Cymorth Cymru:
- Strives to ensure that all support providers regardless of geographical location, client group, organisational size or sector have equal access to our services and support.
- Adopts the same principles of respect, fairness and equality that it promotes in the work of those it represents.
- Activities are used to build the capacity of supported housing providers and the sector's contribution to housing and other areas of social policy.
That Cymorth Cymru supports member organisations in their work with clients to ensure service users have the right to:
- Be treated as individuals.
- Develop their full potential as individuals.
- Be part of their communities.
- Be treated with respect, dignity and privacy.
- Develop skills and pursue interests.
- Be involved in decision making processes that affect their lives.
Aims
To improve the lives of vulnerable people through working with supported housing providers, policy makers and partner organisations to provide an environment in which the quality of service delivery is maximised. Cymorth Cymru will do this through:
- Helping the sector to develop the necessary knowledge and skills to provide quality services.
- Providing policymakers and those influencing the policy agenda with information upon which good policy decisions can be made.
- Working with the policy community and partner organisations to ensure decisions are well considered and disseminated widely.
- Ensuring best practice is developed and learnt from across Wales.
- Promoting the professionalisation of supported housing through education, development and training opportunities.
