Cymorth has a pro-active and engaged Board of 12 people who are elected from member organisations, and 4 additional independent members who are appointed.
Board responsibilities include setting Cymorth Cymru’s strategic aims, providing the leadership to put them into effect and supervising the management of the business.
Elections to the Board are held at our Annual General Meeting, usually held in the Autumn.
If you are interested in joining the Board, please contact Cymorth Cymru Director, Katie Dalton, for an informal conversation in the first instance, to find out what Board membership entails.
Who are our current Board members?
If you are not on the Board, you can still get involved with the running and development of Cymorth Cymru in the following ways:
From a policy perspective, we are frequently asked to represent members’ interests on specific partnerships or working groups. If we have the expertise within the current staff team, we will do this ourselves, otherwise we will put out a call for people from the membership who might be interested in contributing their skills, experience or views.
We also run an ad hoc secondment programme for staff from member organisations when we have particular projects that need additional capacity. These are a really cost effective way of exposing the rising stars in your team to broader issues, and seeing things from different angles in a friendly, supportive, coaching environment.
We run a rolling programme of visits to projects and services for Assembly Members and other key stakeholders. If you’d like to showcase your programme, please email Gwyn Thomas de Chroustchoff
If you would like more information on any of the above opportunities, please call us on 029 2055 3687.
