Climate crisis: implications for homelessness, housing and support in Wales

Parts of the South Wales Valleys have experienced flooding three times within the past year. Flooding resulting from climate change and rising sea levels pose serious risks to people in Wales, particularly to those who are vulnerably housed and living in poverty. The next instalment of Cymorth Cymru's online events approaches the implications of climate change for vulnerable people and housing and support providers, with some important considerations for future planning.

Our key speaker is Dr David Clubb, partner at sustainability consultancy Afallen, who is also a trustee of the Institute of Welsh Affairs. Read his blog post he wrote for us on this subject last year. Bethan Proctor of Community Housing Cymru will also be contributing to the session, focusing on the work of the social housing sector in this area, and some examples of good practice.
