Homelessness Symposium 2018

Tamsin at Annual Conference 2018 smaller.jpg

We are proud to present the fourth annual Homelessness Symposium for Wales. This conference focuses on the journey across the homelessness sector over the past year, and there is a lot to learn, catch up on and develop from.

There will be plenaries and workshops on a range of topics aimed at meeting the increasing demand for homelessness services, and providing an opportunity to share best practice and ideas.

We will hear from academics and various senior representatives from support providers and the wider housing sector who are part of the effort to help people find stable homes where they can live independently.

The day includes:
• an address by Rebecca Evans AM, Minister for Housing and Regeneration;
• workshops on rough sleeping, rural homelessness, Housing First progress, Housing first for women, and assertive outreach;
• presentation from the Centre for Homelessness Impact;
• discussion of members' experiences with the Housing First model
• 2 panel discussions: innovative housing solutions; costs and affordability;
• presentation of research into public and political engagement with homelessness;

This is an all-day event, with lunch and refreshments provided. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts and network.

The Cymorth Cymru AGM takes place immediately afterwards - all are welcome.
