We are looking for a dedicated Tenancy support worker to deliver support services to people in and around the Gwendraeth  Valley and Ammanford. 

Taking a psychologically trauma and ACE informed approach you will make a difference to the lives of others by delivering high quality tenancy support  

This is an exciting role where no two days are the same. You will be part of a small team that is dedicated to improving the lives of those we work with. 

You will carry your own caseload after having a through induction where you will be given the skills and knowledge to carry out your role.  

Using a flexible approach, you will engage with our service users by providing individual tailored tenancy related support.  Building resilience and enabling them to make informed choices about their future. 

This role will include Generic tenancy support and Housing first. The key aim is to promote independence and prevent homelessness. The principles of Housing First is to move people from insecure living arrangements to permanent, sustained tenancies and in so doing, support and enable people to lead a more stable lifestyle. 

You will be able to work in a flexible manner. The number of days worked can be negotiable if the needs of the service are met.

The Team Leader is responsible for providing a high-quality reactive and void repairs service to customers through proactive and effective management of a team of technical and business support colleagues within their service area.

The focus of the role is to provide, support, guidance and supervision the team through individual support sessions, team meetings and performance frameworks that enable the team to confidently and competently deliver services to tenants. In addition, it is to be an ambassador for the organisation and represent the organisation’s interests in their service area externally.

Tenancy Support Worker (12 month maternity cover)

Are you passionate about supporting young people aged 16 to 24, who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness, to make lasting positive changes in their lives? If yes, we would like to hear from you.

Digartref Cyf is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced support worker who is able to work as part of a dynamic team in our 24 hour cover supported housing project in Llangefni. We are committed to assisting young people acquire the skills necessary for independent living and supporting them to secure more permanent housing within the community. Many of the young people we have worked with now live in their own homes, are in full time education and enjoying new careers.

Ideally applicants would be expected to:

  • have previous experience of working in a similar role and the passion and desire to work with vulnerable and complex young people;
  • have good IT skills and the ability to manage a complex caseload;
  • enjoy working as part of a dedicated and diverse team;
  • have excellent communication and people skills;
  • be able to drive, and have access to a car.

 

Staff will be required to work to a rota, shifts will include; days, weekends, evenings and waking nights. Some shifts will require you to lone work.

Please note, this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
