Cymorth Cymru is vital to challenge decisions for not only service providers but also, most importantly, for service users. Judith Lewis - Conwy Mental Health Scheme, North Wales Housing Association

As an umbrella organisation, our members are central to the work of Cymorth Cymru. We have around 100 members, made up of third sector organisations, housing associations and local authorities from across the whole of Wales.

Cymorth members work with a wide range of people, including people who are

  • homeless, or at risk of homelessness
  • families fleeing domestic abuse
  • people dealing with mental or physical health problems
  • people with learning disabilities
  • people with alcohol or substance misuse problems
  • refugees and people seeking asylum
  • people leaving prison
  • care leavers and other vulnerable young people
  • and older people in need of support

This list is not exhaustive, and people often face a range of challenges that make it difficult for them to maintain a stable home and take control of their lives.

Our members help people address these issues, supporting them to find and maintain safe accommodation, fulfil their personal potential and feel confident making choices about their future.

Membership of Cymorth offers a variety of benefits. As well as getting your views clearly and effectively represented to Welsh Government, you also benefit from significant discounts on training, events and advertising, and are kept up to date with the latest policy and sector developments. You can also contribute to and learn from wider discussions across the sector, and benefit from networking with other members.
