Welsh Government: Changes to lockdown restrictions and regulations

As part of its three-weekly review the Welsh Government has announced a series of changes, which will come into force on Monday 22 June. The following statements and guidance have also been published:

Welsh Government guidance: Moving home during the coronavirus pandemic

The Welsh Government has published guidance regarding the changes to regulations about people being able to move house during this pandemic. From 22nd June people will be able to move house if:

  • Their sale or tenancy has been agreed but not yet completed, and
  • If the property they are moving to is unoccupied and has been empty for at least three days, or it has been deep cleaned. 

Test Trace Protect: Contact Tracing presentation

The Welsh Government's Test Trace Protect team has shared a presentation about the Contact Tracing process. The presentation is available in Welsh and in English. You can download the Welsh Government's Contract Tracing guidance here:


Welsh Government interim guidance: Social care workforce special payment scheme

The Welsh Government has published interim guidance about which social care workers are eligible to receive the £500 special payment. 


Welsh Government: Revised school and community-based counselling operating toolkit

The Education Minister has published a written statement about the launch the updated School and Community-Based Counselling Operating Toolkit. The revised toolkit is aimed at counselling providers and managers of counselling services; other professionals including teachers, emergency services, social workers, third sector workers and people working in youth services. 


All Wales Public Service Leadership Virtual Summer School 2020

Academi Wales will be hosting a virtual Summer School during 22 June - 26 June, titled 'Shining a Light on Uncertainty – New Challenges, New Opportunities'. It will look back at keynote speakers from past events and includes a live masterclass. 


Reminder: Welsh Government toolkit for critical worker employers 

The Welsh Government has created a toolkit and assets for critical worker employers to communicate the Test, Trace, Protect strategy. This includes:

  • printable and digital posters
  • social assets
  • digital banners
  • example copy
  • an explainer video
  • an image bank
