Welsh Government: Review of Lockdown Measures and Health Protection Regulations

Following the latest 21-day review of the coronavirus regulations, the First Minister has announced a phased timetable to ease restrictions for large parts of Wales’ visitor, hospitality, and leisure and tourism sectors. The Welsh Government has published a written statement which outlines these changes in more detail. 

Chief Medical Officer advice: Review of lockdown arrangements (8 July)

The Chief Medical Officer for Wales has published a statement in which he outlines his support for the Welsh Government's proposed changes to COVID-19 restrictions. He also provides specific advice on social distancing and on face coverings. 

Technical Advisory Cell: Summary of advice (5 July 2020) 

The Welsh Government has published a summary of COVID-19 advice provided by the Technical Advisory Cell to Welsh Ministers on 5 July 2020. 

COVID-19 regulations: frequently asked questions

The Welsh Government has continued to update its frequently asked questions about COVID-19 and the restrictions that exist in Wales. 

Test, Trace, Protect guidance: Keeping records of staff, customers, and visitors

The Welsh Government has published guidance which provides advice for organisations on collecting and retaining records of staff, customers and visitors to their premises for a limited period. This is to support the NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect service in the event that the contact tracing process is initiated. 

Test, Trace, Protect: Multilingual information 

The Welsh Government has published information about the Test, Trace, Protect process in a variety of languages. This includes:

  • A series of information posters about symptoms, when to get a test, contact tracing and avoiding scams.

Easy read poster: How to get tested for COVID-19

The Welsh Government has published an easy read poster about how to get tested for COVID-19. 

Welsh Government letter: Planning policy and the post COVID-19 recovery

The Minister for Housing and Local Government has written to local authorities about planning policy and the post COVID-19 recovery, with specific references to the National Development Framework, Strategic Development Plans, Local Development Plans and Planning Policy Wales. 

Welsh Government: Online triage tool

The Welsh Government's online triage tool helps Welsh citizens find advice and support for their individual circumstances during the COVID-19 pandemic. The tool signposts to a range of information across the following themes:

  • Being unemployed or not having any work
  • Going in to work
  • Money / Social Housing & Private Sector
  • Getting food
  • Getting medicines
  • Feeling unsafe
  • Having somewhere to live
  • Mental health and wellbeing
  • Physical Health and Wellbeing

It also includes a new risk assessment tool for Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority People.
