The Welsh Government has updated the following guidance in line with changes to restrictions from 27th March:

Update: Supported Living guidance

The Welsh Government has also updated the guidance for Supported Living settings, in line with the changes to restrictions outlined above. 

Update: COVID-19 Control Plan

The First Minister has published a written statement following the publication of the Welsh Government's updated COVID Control Plan, which takes account of the vaccination roll-out and the highly-infectious Kent variant, and sets out how Wales will move through the alert levels.

Update: Welsh Government Vaccination Strategy

The Minister for Health and Social Services has published a written statement about the Welsh Government's updated COVID-19 Vaccination Strategy

COVID-19 vaccination equity strategy

The Welsh Government has published a COVID-19 Vaccination Equity Strategy, which aims to ensure that everyone has fair access to a COVID-19 vaccination and a fair opportunity to receive it. The strategy recognises three interlinked dimensions to be considered for vaccine equity - protected characteristics, inclusion health and under-served groups, and socio-economic disadvantage. 

People with experience of homelessness, asylum and sanctuary seekers, people with learning disabilities and people using mental health services are specifically referenced in the document. Cymorth sits on the Vaccine Equity Committee, representing the homelessness sector. 

Follow the rules after getting the COVID-19 vaccine

The Welsh Government has published guidance about why people need to continue to follow the rules after they have been vaccinated. 

Get your COVID-19 vaccination if you think you have been missed

The Welsh Government has updated its information / guidance about what people should do if they are due their COVID-19 vaccination and have not been contacted. 

Community Testing Programme - Evaluation and Ministerial Statement

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board has published an evaluation of the community testing pilot in Merthyr Tydfil and lower Cynon Valley, which is estimated to have prevented 353 cases of COVID-19, 24 hospitalisations, 5 Intensive Care Unit admissions and 14 deaths.

The Minister for Health and Social Services has also published a written statement about the Welsh Government's plans to expand activity under the Test to Find strand of our Testing Strategy, which aims to identify and isolate COVID-19 cases in the community.

The Welsh Government has updated its guidance for people in the shielding group from the 1st April 2021 and has published:

Health and Social Care in Wales - COVID-19: Looking forward

The Minister for Health and Social Services has announced the publication of 'Health and Social Care in Wales – COVID-19: Looking forward'. This plan is supported by an initial £100m funding, to help the health and care system in Wales to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
