17 March, 2021Cymorth publishes Senedd 2021 manifesto for ending homelessness
Cymorth Cymru has launched its manifesto for the Senedd 2021 elections, calling on political parties to make a series of commitments to help end homelessness in Wales.
The manifesto was developed following engagement with people using and delivering homelessness, housing and support services across Wales. Launched on the final day of Cymorth's online annual conference, the manifesto outlines five key priorities and calls on election candidates to commit to implementing them if their party forms the next Welsh Government:
- Implement the Homelessness Action Group recommendations
- Protect and increase the Housing Support Grant
- Deliver 20,000 energy efficient social homes
- Recognise and reward homelessness and support workers
- Improve access to mental health services
