End Youth Homelessness Cymru and Cymorth Cymru present:
Youth Experiential Learning Simulation
- Tuesday 17th February 2026 | 13:00 – 16:30
- Halliwell Centre, Carmarthen
- This event is free of charge
Who is this aimed at?
This simulation is aimed at frontline workers, managers and senior leaders working in any public services or third sector services that come into contact with people experiencing trauma, homelessness, mental health problems, the social care system or the criminal justice system.
What is the YExLS?
The Youth Experiential Learning Simulation (YExLS) is a learning tool that aims to provide participants with a sense of what it is like to navigate complex systems, such as homelessness, mental health services, social care and the criminal justice system. While it was developed to provide insight into young people’s experiences in particular, the learning is also highly relevant to the experiences of vulnerable adults navigating these services and systems.
How was it developed?
The simulation was developed by lawyers specialising in children’s rights, including from Baker McKenzie. Most importantly, it was developed in partnership with young people with lived experience of homelessness, social care and youth justice systems.
Don’t miss out!
This is a unique event that engages on an emotional and personal level as well as providing space for strategic and policy reflections.
