Cymorth Cymru and Community Housing Cymru have published Home Matters, a new report that makes the case for a further 10% increase in funding for the Housing Support Grant and Homelessness Prevention Grant.

The report is available in English and in Welsh, and outlines:
- The impact of the increase in National Insurance costs on last year’s funding allocation
- 66% of organisations are running services at a deficit, due to insufficient funding – with 60% relying on reserves to prop up services.
- 91% of organization are paying the Real Living Wage – but 58% do not receive enough funding to cover all of these costs.
- 86% increase in demand for services and 97% increase complexity of support needs since last year – with significant impact on staff wellbeing and turnover
- A further 10% of funding is needed in the final budget – otherwise:
- 92% of providers are likely to reduce service capacity
- 75% of providers are likely to not bid for new or re-tendered contracts
- 43% of providers are likely to hand back existing contracts
- 63% of providers are likely to make staff redundant
